Health insurance open enrollment NOW through January 31st

Some options available year-round.

Do you know someone who doesn’t have health insurance?  Are you looking for a better option?  It is now open enrollment, which is a time for people to review, change, and/or renew their commercial health care coverage.  Open enrollment only runs through January 31st, so it is important to look into your options now.  There is free local assistance with the enrollment process; utilizing this assistance is encouraged!  The assisters, also called navigators, are located in trusted organizations throughout Duluth.  To connect with navigators near you, contact United Way 2-1-1 by dialing 2-1-1 (landline) or 1-800-543-7709 (mobile).  Walk-in assistance is also available at the downtown Duluth Library every Saturday from 10:30-1:30.

Many people qualify for free or low-cost coverage and MNsure is the only place to get the subsidies to help offset the cost of monthly premiums.  Navigators will help you understand what you might qualify for.  And public program enrollment, which is medical assistance and MinnesotaCare, is not restricted to the open enrollment period; people can enroll in public programs year-round.  If you’re not insured, don’t wait, call now and find out about you options!

Come, You People of the Promise

Come, you people of the promise, sing for joy! The time is near! God, the covenant fulfilling, soon among us will appear! As proclaimed in prophet’s story, Christ will come in humble glory. God with us, Emmanuel!

Long in darkness we have waited, through the shadows made our way, gloom and sorrow our companions as we longed for signs of day – great our need for hope and healing, some great light our God revealing – God with us, Emmanuel!

God’s own Son shall dwell among us; shadows vanish in that light. Earth shall know his peace and justice: Christ who comes shall rule in might. Let our joy dispel all sadness: he who comes turns tears to gladness – God with us, Emmanuel!

(Hymn #130 – Covenant Hymnal: Words based on Revelation21:24, Isaiah 9:2, Joy Patterson 1931 – , Music: Polish Carol)

God’s Peace to you in this NEW YEAR

Let our Joy dispel all sadness.

Christ has come
